CLASI Leadership and Instruction Program (CLIP)

Nurturing the next generation of leaders and instructors in Ayres Sensory Integration®

The CLASI Leadership and Instruction Program (CLIP) is an internal initiative dedicated to identifying, supporting, and mentoring leaders in Ayres Sensory Integration® (ASI) across the globe.

Rooted in the legacy of Dr. A. Jean Ayres — herself a visionary educator, researcher, practitioner and advocate — CLIP reflects CLASI’s commitment to building a sustainable future for ASI through excellence in teaching, scholarship, advocacy, and mentorship.

This initiative is a strategic effort to ensure the consistency, integrity, and reach of ASI instruction and leadership worldwide.

  • CLIP exists to:

    • Support emerging and established leaders in ASI as they grow into roles of greater impact

    • Provide guidance in developing skills needed for teaching, clinical practice, research and advocacy

    • Strengthen local and regional leadership, ensuring that ASI continues to evolve while remaining grounded in evidence and fidelity to Dr. Ayres’ original work

    • Create a network of professionals aligned with CLASI’s core values of partnership, collaboration, and scholarship

  • CLIP brings together experienced instructors, tutors, practitioners and researchers to:

    • Maintain consistency and quality across CLASI’s courses

    • Review content and support instructional alignment

    • Mentor and guide newer educators and leaders in ASI

    • Promote leadership in clinical practice, teaching, advocacy, and research

  • CLIP is a reflection of our long-term vision:

That ASI will continue to thrive across generations, cultures, and contexts — led by well-supported professionals who are connected, capable, and committed.

Just as Dr. Ayres mentored those who carried her work forward, we see it as our responsibility to foster the next generation of ASI leaders. This is the heart of CLIP.

Supporting New Instructors: The CLASI Co-Teaching Fund

.

As part of our commitment to leadership development, CLASI has established the Co-Teaching Fund — a financial support mechanism designed to help emerging instructors gain experience by co-teaching alongside seasoned faculty.

The fund helps offset travel and accommodation expenses for those invited to teach in new regions or with new teams, making it possible for upcoming instructors to develop their skills in real teaching environments.

This initiative reflects our belief that teaching ASI is a practice in itself — one that requires mentorship, support, and opportunity. The Co-Teaching Fund ensures that financial limitations do not prevent talented professionals from contributing and growing in this role.
