Resources For The School-Based OT
In alignment with our mission of providing innovative opportunities for partnership, scholarship, and mentorship, CLASI supports school-based practitioners in a variety of ways. Below, please find our course offerings tailored to those who work in schools, advocacy tools and aligned research, information on financial assistance, and a link to schedule a chat with a team member on how best to leverage our many resources for SBOTPs.
The ‘CLASI CASI’ and ‘ASI in Schools’ courses are designed to complement each other.
If you have taken the CLASI CASI and work in a school setting, ASI in Schools will build on that advanced knowledge and bring it specifically into a school setting. The course also includes a cohort-based mentorship component, providing the opportunity for ongoing support and engagement.
If you have not yet taken the CLASI CASI, ASI in Schools is a great place to start. The course provides an introduction to ASI theory and supports learners’ ability to know when and how to apply concepts of Ayres Sensory Integration® to support student engagement, participation, and function across all 3 tiers of MTSS in the school setting. The course addresses common barriers to implementing school-based ASI and presents an Advocacy Toolkit to support OTPs in their role of ensuring all students, regardless of sensory challenges, have equitable access to the support they need in school. Upon completion, if SBOTs want to continue their learning in ASI and become certified to conduct the EASI, we welcome you to enroll in the CLASI CASI.
