Sensory integration plays a critical role in how children engage, learn, and participate in school life. From navigating busy hallways to focusing during lessons or managing their body and objects during school activities, the ability to integrate sensory information is deeply connected to success in school. Occupational therapists using Ayres Sensory Integration® (ASI) bring valuable tools and perspectives to help children access learning and fully participate in school routines.
This webinar series — Back to School with Ayres Sensory Integration — brings together experts in school-based practice to explore how ASI can be used in schools. Each month from June to November 2025, invited speakers will discuss a specific aspect of ASI in school-based practice, including emerging research, systemic barriers, facilitators for implementation, advocacy efforts, and models of practice in different regions. The series also includes a session focused on legal perspectives and one dedicated to resources and supports for occupational therapists applying ASI in educational contexts.
Organized by CLASI and sponsored by Southpaw Enterprises, the 2025 webinar series is designed to support a thoughtful dialogue about what it takes to deliver evidence-based services in schools. Participants are invited to reflect, learn, and contribute to a growing conversation about how occupational therapy can support participation through a sensory integration lens.

Multisensory Integration
In this engaging webinar, Dr. Sophie Molholm presents her groundbreaking research on multisensory integration and its impact on understanding how the brain processes multiple sensory stimuli. Focusing on autism, Dr. Molholm delves into how evoked-related potentials (ERP) are used to measure these processes, offering valuable insights into the neurophysiological indices of multisensory integration. We are also pleased to have had the presence of Dr. John Foxe, who shared his brilliant insights into what current research is unveiling and where the field hopes to move in the future.
