Download Stop Watch
You can use an app on your phone, but it must have automatic reset. If you need to download an app we suggest the following:
-

Make the Silly Room Photo
The photo used for the silly room will need to be taken in the same room you plan to test in and with your equipment. Arrange the room to fit the exact description and snap a picture! Watch the tutorial below to construct your silly room for the photo.
-

Prepare 3D printed shapes
The EASI Kit includes 5 business card sized magnets. The magnets should be cut in half then trimmed to fit the back of the 4 yellow and 5 green tile shapes; cut the magnets then remove the tape covering the adhesive to secure to the back of the tile.
-

Number Your Small Cups
The EASI Kit includes 12 small cups to cover the set of 3D oral shapes affixed to water bottles. The first cup will be labeled as the tester. The following cups are numbered from 1- 11.

Rotation Device
The rotation device can be either made or purchased separately. To make it even easier, CLASI has partnered with Southpaw, who now offers a rotation board that meets EASI material specifications. You can purchase the board directly from Southpaw at this link. If you prefer to build your own board, click on the link below to view a step-by-step tutorial video on how to build your own rotation board.

Two child-sized chairs and one testing table, at the appropriate height for the child tested is needed. The chairs should be the same color and height at seat (9”-12” or 23-30.5 cm). The chairs need to be lightweight enough for children to be able to move and position.

Phone or another device to videorecord the child’s performance
A phone or another device to videorecord the child’s performance is needed. If using a phone as stopwatch, ensure that you can record and check timing simultaneously.
Resources
EASI Online Scoring Program and Test sheets
Test sheets and access to the EASI Scoring Program (ESP) are not included in the kit. Free downloadable test sheets and access to the ESP are made available to appropriately trained therapists. Designed for ease of use and affordability, the ESP allows trained users to score an unlimited number of assessments for just $50 per year—with the first year free.
The EASI tests are in the final phase of completion and will soon be shortened and finalized. Once this process is complete, the test sheets will be greatly reduced and the instructions will go into the manual. Whether you are currently using the paper test sheets or entering scores electronically, this checklist may be helpful for tracking the tests you have administered, as well as any notes you wish to keep as you go.
EASI Updates
The Evaluation in Ayres Sensory Integration (EASI) International Normative Data is currently under analysis for finalization of the tests. As decisions are made, they will be posted at the page link below.
You can also subscribe to the EASI mailing list to receive email notifications when new updates are added.
