13 Visual Praxis: Construction Decision

We are now close to completion of finalizing all EASI tests. While no new items will be added, some items will be eliminated, making the tests shorter overall.  Most of the changes will not be in effect until all tests are finalized and the final norms have been added into the ESP (EASI Scoring Program).  However, one change that can be made now is to drop items 1-4 from 13 Visual Praxis Construction.  The folding, tearing, and puzzle items are not currently considered in scoring and will be dropped from the final test.  Therefore those items are not needed now, nor will they be included in the final form of the test.

We hope that knowing about this small change now, as well as knowing that other items will be dropped in the future, will be welcome news related to the feasibility of using the tests in practice.
